SONGS

Choral Music for TVFP is carefully chosen and vetted to meet a variety of requirements. We are committed to the focus of our vision statement: peace, social justice and environmental stewardship. Preference is given to pieces written by women and queer folk, and others who uphold our standards of powerful music to transform, heal and connect, as well as issues that affect women and queer communities in particular.

All pieces are written for treble voices: sopranos, altos and contraltos (tenors). We perform cultural pieces, selected and with permission, to lift up diverse communities and context provide context for current issues. As our membership represents all levels of experiences, our songs cover a wide range of difficulty. We learn some rote, when appropriate in honoring the aural tradition.
